Oh when the blues...go marching in...
I'm doing it. Seen the course route, its a tough 'un.
I can walk there from home though and the 'Roundhay Fox' pub is right outside the park for the post-race refreshments
We'll be there Paul... feather plucking spikes will be sharpened ready for some more Owl hunting...
You'll never Walk Alone!
We'll be there as it's right on our doorstep! I can't run though as I've just defected back to Southern club! But will be supporting the young man - his first big XC.
Anyone who wants to know the sneaky routes to the park and how to avoid the car park queues, let me know.
any chance of course map/profile please?!
the lap will be flat for a bit then there'll be a steep downhill then it will undulate for a bit (inlcuding 1 or 2 unpleasant hills) then you'll get a really nice steep longish climb ("hill 60") then you're on the flat bit again. I'm not sure of the precise make up of the laps but the I think its likely there'll be two laps (and possibly a starting loop to make up the distance). And It will be a proper 12k unlike nambypamby heaton park - the bloke designing the course is somewhat "old school"!
Its a cracking course and venue and not too muddy (yet...!)
