This was my my first Northern XC race today, a tough but enjoyable race. 470th out of 665, room for improvement there I think!

Overall, good atmosphere and thankfully it didn't rain.

Well done to all those who ran!

We don't get many that are familiar with the Junior ranks on here, but I was surprised to see the U15 Girl, Hannah Doherty running for Sale - good acquisition for Sale.
Thought something was brewing when she was in the B team for East Cheshire at the Sutton Coldfield Relays.

Impressed with U15B Jamie Crompton as well - controlled the race start to finish.
U13G Hanah Bethwaite was also excellent.
With a 1-2-3 in the U17W for the FRA Juniors it was a good haul of medals for those from the Fells.

I've been battling it out with Brian Schofield of Oldham and Royton this season he came 471st yesterday.

All being well it looks like it could be a well matched, hard fought, neck and neck, forumite battle between the three of us at the National.

I shall be looking out for a Blackburn and a Skem vest at Alton Towers

I know Brian - shook his hand afterwards yesterday - I sit in on the Red Rose meetings with him.
He turned up at the Lancs Champs with mate, only to find that they were ineligible to run - I had to sweet-talk the referee to allow them to run without numbers.
So it could be a 4 way tussle.

Yeah was suprised to see that she had left our club, she trained with our group on some nights & noticed for her age she took the training far to seriously in my opinion i know you train hard to improve but she was even taking it beyond that but that's just my opinion

Good luck to the young lady though !!
