Oh Dear Sparth - you let the Owl get past!!!! How could you???
One of my team mates did say that if I let HIM beat me, I'd have to run an extra lap!!! LOL...
My 206th/665 almost duplicates last years 201st/651 in terms of position within the field, though I thought I was in much better shape at Heaton Park. Anyone else got any opinions on the standard compared to last year?

What a race, what a course! i thought i didnt do too badly considering i only run three times a week and i wasnt too far off my predictions.

Well done everyone, roll on AT next month.

Sparth, nevermind, hopefully we'll both get NITF next time round!!!

Fellhell and the Owl had a good battle for the 1st half of the race, then I lost him gradually.
Round 2 at the national should be interesting if I can get some training done.

Well done to everyone who competed yesterday.
It was a really good course and congrats to the organizers.
Danbert, we really missed you on the fun bus but more especially in the team. Get well soon.
We seem to be in a long season of illness and virus's so lets hope we can build up to former fitness in the next few weeks.

Are the XC Nationals at Alton Towers next month in the grounds of the Theme Park?

Last years National saw a good scrap between me, Sparth and another Rochdale stalwart (Mr Stainthorpe) - hopefully in for another race like that!
I'm sure Chaddy will get fitter in the next few weeks... maybe for late consolation?

My inability to count is becoming a serious problem. Despite Track Fairy's advice, I'd convinced myself it was two laps, stormed up Hill 60 (kind of), started sprinting down the finishing straight, just to realise that everybody was going round a 3rd time. Bugger.

Still really good course. Got to improve 60 odd places to catch NITF. Better pray for mud and a couple of short cuts at the Nationals

Can't see you in the results Fellhell. Did you run as somebody else?
