Snow

Anyone tell me how much snow there is on either Great Whernside or Pendle at the moment?

(Promised a friend we'd walk one or the other tomorrow - her two options as both similar distance from home & we're hoping there is still some snow on the ground!!)

I just need to get rid of this cough I've had all day first

Went for Great Whernside - plenty of snow - up to foot deep in parts near summit and then heading south along top via Sweet Hill (away from the majority of 'unadventurous' walkers!!).

Didn't spot any studmarks tho!!

Got the 12 stage in Catterick, and the forecast is saying that trans-pennine routes may become difficult. Trapped in Yorkshire I'll end up gnawing my own toes off.

Very cold and lots of horizontal snow going over Bleaklow today for the 4 inns, then beautiful in Edale!
