    Registration

Thinking of doing my first fell race this weekend, maybe the Tigger Tor or Stanbury Splash. Do I just turn up and register, or do I need to let someone know in advance? Sorry if this is a silly question.

Also, the notes on the website calendar tell me to read the FRA Safety Requirements for Fell Races and the FRA Rules for Competition. Are these puiblished online anywhere? I can't find them...

    D'oh!
I'd even looked at that page, I just didn't see the stuff down the right hand side.
    Thanks...

Soreen malt loaf to all finishers at Stanbury! See you there (it's usually bloody freezing).

Just to say, thanks for the info, we duly did the Tigger Tor. No idea how well I did, but at least I wasn't last! Presumably the results will appear sooner or later...

    Cookery Slot:

I now have an excellent recipe for malt loaf. It has lots of Horlicks in and is scrummy.
Why walk when you can run.

Post it up then - I like malt loaf and I like Horlicks.

    Cheers - Raymond

And well done Toreador on your first fell race. How did you find it? Are you addicted now?

Cheers. Found it easier than I'd expected. Or rather, just as hard, but I was expecting to be struggling along in last place and actually found myself overtaking people. Only on the uphills though, and most of them overtook me back on the downs

Don't know about addicted, but liked it enough that we've entered the Wadsworth Half Trog next weekend, and have sent off some money to the FRA!

Is it normal for results to take this long to be published? Over a week later and they're still not out. Maybe I've been spoiled with orienteering, where the results are usually on the web before I've got home - I guess it's easier because everything's done electronically, so it's just a question of pressing a few buttons...

    Sometimes it can take years.
