Under your tights?

Am considering abandoning favourite winter attire of helly LJs and shorts for new lycra tights, but am concerned about what to wear beneath (so as to avoid the VPL you understand).

Suggestions from the sartorially confident would be welcomed, as would not like to be nailed by T or S at next race.

Perhaps I should add that I am male and 50+, so suggestions involving thongs would be inappropriate (in case of accidents).

when i first tried them i had severe frostbite and shrinkage for 3 days after mate
i just wear my tight jockey shorts uderneath

thongs are no good and i dont wear loose boxer shorts so yeah tight jockey shorts id say

Rubbish. I always go commando unless the weather is really desperate. Much more comfortable .

HH and Newline both do a range of windproof fronted underpants for all genders-might be a bit of VPL but everything will be tucked away and out of the breeze so who cares?

Well I ran commando style in my Skins and, apart from the cold, I felt a bit like Rudolph Nureyev. I now wear those HH pants underneath - certainly at this time of year.

I'm not sure that showing off your bulges actually impresses anyone
