Our bathroom scales are faulty. They now show that both me and my lass are nearly half a stone heavier than before christmas... very strange.

Ours were 'faulty' after our summer holiday so we haven't used them since!
I've done 30 odd miles of running between Christmas and now and our scales are still faulty. Running alone is not enough........ by the looks of things I need a hefty dose of food poisoning to put things back on track.
I had noticed something similar, however after moving the scales from the firm bathroom floor to the lush deep-pile carpet of the spare bedroom, the reading is more or less what I wanted

Just stand with 1 foot on the scales and press down until you get the reading you're after.
