Heard a report on FiveLive whilst driving home that the world market for performance enhancing sports drugs is worth more than the world market for cocaine, heroin and cannabis combined . How the hell can that be true? Seems totally inconceivable - unless everyone's at it.
Wouldn't have thought it goes on in fell-running because there's no money in it...

I don't believe this for one second. I suppose the people who claim this have a vested interest ie. some drug testing agency justifying their funding.

I heard that report too and found it hard to believe. I think the theory was that a lot of it is used by body building types in gyms.

Better own up i guess i had a can of Red Bull once screwed up my heart rate, so i am clean now.

If thats true it must include the likes of creatine and fat reduction agents such as ephedrine etc. If you go in any vitamin store they sell loads of bodybuilding type supplements but even so I can't believe that comes close to illegal drugs.

Unless they're including alcohol in there. I always reckon that increases my performance
