What shoes would suit the course given the tarmac sections?

I wore Walshes. There are a few sections of tarmac but it is mostly on muddy fields and tracks!

I entered on the day last year and wasn't a problem just got there an hour before. This year I've preentered as I saw a bargain with a cheaper price. Beware of the slippy stiles specially wearing walshes,

It's this or the Village Bakery Half in Wrexham, deffo won't be doing both.

I'll make my mind up on the Saturday morning I think.

Leaning towards this as it'll be more FUN

Interesting to see that this hasn't been moved to the other races section yet

Aren't you a previous winner of this Detritus?

I must be honest and say that i love this race myself. It's fantastic - loads of variey, 2 challenging hills and a draining, slippery final rise. From what i can remember the steepest bits were thankfully on good tracks and not grass which this year will surely be the muddiest and slidiest it's ever been.
