It's a shame Angela's never been profiled in the Fellrunner mag? Or has it been in an issue prior to me joining?

Well I have all 89 issues and, lamentably, Angela has never been subject to any extended report of her brilliant running career and wonderful individual personality, some of which is explored in The Times today.

However I understand that a 3600 word Profile may appear in the Spring issue of The Fellrunner.

Interesting to read about Angela Mudge. I don't know her, I think she has a lower profile amongst fell runners than she would if she competed more in English races.

I didn't know until cottoning on to this thread that Janice Mudge died in 2006. I am very sad about it. She was the athletics team captain at Leicester Polytechnic when I was there. She was proper team leader, a fairly frequent training partner of mine and I've thought a lot about her since those days.

WOW....how much has she done !!

and what an inspiration on living the simple life. i suppose many of us would like to live this way, i.e. summers in the alps etc but really is not feasible when considering jobs/homes/kids etc etc. but doesnt stop the day dreaming

however well done angela on breaking another (?) record

Funny that an "unknown" athlete should have a Wiki page devoted to them:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Mudge
And that Angela has won the Buff Skyrunner World Series the past 2 years.

"World Champion Mountain Runner" would be more appropriate than "unknown athlete"
