What sort of madness is this?
Are Steve and Wynn planning to hold it at night? erm, the race I mean. Cos I can see the advantage of recceing at that time. OR are this years competitors expected to run blindfold? On the few occasions that I've been up the fells in the dark, the views have been fairly ordinary, not to mention I've never been totally confident of my whereabouts.

I presume you start and finish at a pub
I guess Newlands in the dark is better than many populated spots in the light
And if its the Bill I bumped into in Wasdale a while back, (and trotted round the Pike through to Beck Head,in sleet) then it doesnt surprise me. Always good to know theres someone crazier than me.
