I'm not doing it this time as I've got Parbold the day before and the national the week after. It is a cracker though.

I bloody love this race Vince, and i'm absolutely gutted to be missing it this year.

For me it's got everything a trail race should have. with loads of connecting stretches of cross country, trail, stony paths, grass paths, earth tracks, canal tow paths, disused railway lines, shady woods, riverside running etc etc.

Good luck to the Radcliffe with the organisation of it - you deserve a decent sized field for this.

I'll be there. We normally get a few from Rossy.

As Danbert says, it's a good testing course, with tired legs from trying to run the flat bit fast, just in time for the hills. The last bit on the canal and road induces some hilarious wobbly leg moments

There is a route guide upon our site, linked to good run guide, to give you some idea of the route/hills. Should be good. I think I am marshalling some corner of it somewhere, to be decided. I'll heckle all those who I know free of charge!

Over 60 pre entries this has now, which makes for a good race. Apparantly I'll be at the most trechorous point, some steps down. I was told to bring my first aid kit as well!!

I am also thinking of doing this race provided my legs are up to it? Like Harrymoon doing Parbold Hill race the day before.

The race does not always go to the swift, but to the ones who keep running

Well done to Fellmonster on a resounding win. The boy's flying at the mo.

Brillantly marshalled course, apart from one burke at the bottom of a hill telling me to run faster Reckon he was touting for buisness with that first aid kit of his.

Got to wonder about the well marshalled and flagged 4 inch hole though. Could you not have just filled it in?

New lead for Woger's pencil? Another no show
