I'll be there. A great race, and not the same weekend as Winter Hill this year. Swoops is my footwear of choice for this race.

That last post just made me do a double take on the calendar - I thought it was next weekend - god knows why, the date is in the 1st post. I'm not wasting the entry so I will just have to make do with not much sleep - I am on nights and won't get to bed until 6am Sat and am back in at 6pm
That will teach me to double check dates - shift work screws you up

ah Ady not good! Watching the six nations the other day they mentioned in the 70's the welsh front row used to finish a 12 hour night shift at a steelworks then jump on the team bus for a fixture (can't remember the players names though).

Just out of interest, how well do you run generally after working nights?

I'll tell you on Saturday at 3pm!!
Sometimes I've turned up for evening races after working 12 hours and felt crap on the start line but had a cracking race. Will have to review this week's training plan now though!

I have always run in walshes for this race and they have been fine
The race does not always go to the swift, but to the ones who keep running

How many runners? Was like a stampede out of the starting field.
1st race of the year and 1st time on this course and I was quite pleased overall. Checked my average HR when I got back and I was working hard enough, just need to build on it now and avoid injury. Pleasant course, especially the boggy rough fields, there was one area that ate a couple of runner's shoes
Cheers for the cuppa H.Moon, I'll get one in at Standish next Sat. Met Pinno and Sinatra but did not see Pike. Well done all, look forward to perusing the results when they come out, think I was around 1:40 outside my guesstimate time

Has Pike been drug tested yet?

    Scorchio.
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.
