    we had to get some of this
    nearly £50 a bottle
    lucky customer , not sure if they have a distillery tour

    Scotland somewhere. Try not to venture that far North, full of midges and men in skirts .

    God knows how them heathens manage to produce something quite so wonderfull as whisky, but fair play to them, they do. So I try not to rock the boat too much, simply pay up, drink up and give thanks

    My favourite was from Springbank distilery, beggared if I can remember the name now but it was on the lines of a Islay malt. Most unusual for the distilery in question. About 15 years ago I was going to invest in a full cask of it, almost had the money put aside but it never quite came off. Possibly just as well, the mind boggles at the potential carnage if I had posted on here " 100 bottles of cask strength malt whisky ... needs drinking, my place next Saturday!
