bells whisky is blended from good single malts, so why mix? tamdu is the main part of bells. highland park is at the moment the most northerly distillery but there is a new distillery on the go in shetland (highland park is from kirkwall in orkney, and a v good place to visit!).

AJs dad drinks glenmourangie,, any good folks
Good lad Daz! Welcome to the Whisky side
Yep, Glenmorangie's not bad and a nice place to start. A nice mild taste, quite sweet and certainly not as peaty as the Islay malts. I like the madeira wood finish. For a tasting I'd recommend starting with the Glenmorangie, then a dram of Dalwhinnie (a bit more peaty taste), polishing off with a fine Laphroaig (Islay) or Talisker (Skye). And if you get the chance to interceded a Jura after the Dalwhinnie I think you'd then get quite a mix.
And let us know how you get on. Sounds like AJ's Dad could further your education nicely!
But please...do leave the Bells alone...
...there's a hill nearby missing its fool...
