er... that would be White Peak Half Marathon in May - starts on the tops at Friden (nr Arbor Low stone circle) and drops down 3 of the old railway inclines to Cromford - a fast time guaranteed!unless you can get all the hills going down!

No I think its probably the Robin Hood Half Marathon, that goes from the Embankment through Nottingham City Centre & Wollaton Park - or at least it used to in the 1980s in the days we used to get a framed piece of Nottingham lace (!) and a pork piefor finishing.
