I'm sure that only works if your name is Martin

i was up in the lakes on friday and popped along to the start....very exciting

the weather looked ok'ish with a bit of light rain as they set off, it was pretty blowy earlier on the tops but had died down by early evening.

someone mentioned they had got around 300 doing the 50 and the 100 which is fantastic especially as there were only 75 or so last year....good effort

Looks like its well on way to becoming an established event now. 100 would be a big tick!

Just nipped inside the 12hr mark for the 50. Weather was ideal TBH. Headwind unfortunately, but no rain until about 10pm.
Now I know the route I am confident of knocking an hour or more off given similar conditions.

BA; That's a great time well done. Apologies i wasn't at Haweswater but it was too wet for my sparkly new bike.

Popped into Lakes Runner Saturday evening 11pm after an evening out. It was all rather surreal to see the shop open up, some chap strumming out Dire Straits, tea and cake being served and lots of space cadets looking fairly zonked. Ian Barnes has a great picture of Steve Birkinshaw slumped in front of the shop at whatever time he passed through. Apparently, he was feeling tired!

I'm almost tempted for 2010, but not quite.

Cracking event, even though i only did the 50.
Hats off to all the 100 finishers, past quite a few on the 50 and some were really struggling.
Good run on the 50 for me, but i won't be doing the hundred i'm too much of a wimp

Ozzy and Tig were 10th and 11th i think.
Tig looked as fresh as a daisy and Ozz looked a bit knackered.
    They did well.
    I was 4th in 9hours 20mins.
All came together for my first 50.
Not bad for a crap fellrunner
