Did it this year and was, I understand, the first to enter for next year. Totally loved it despite trying to run it two days after a bout of flu. Gorgeous scenery although we didn't get to see the full course as the weather meant parts of it were underwater. We ended up doing two laps with bits on either end.

Oh, and the final climb. What a torture so close to the end....

Fantastic course and very well organised. Last year the half and full marathon runners ran a little way on the course at the same time, but apparently that will be altered for next year

I did it last year and im going back again next year, absolutely fantastic race. Brilliant course slightly more suited to the fell runner than the usual "trail" race with a good mix of challenging sections and fire road stretches for recovery, excellent feed stations at well thought out locations and even with last years horrendous weather faultlessly ran. Probably be equal top spot with Snowdon on my favourite race list !
    Good going down !!

Looks great, Linda but only 1 week before the Mont blanc marathon - might think about the half if there is one, though.

Did the full this year, tough but fast route, well marked and loads of feed stations. Entered for next year so something to train for....

    Re: Trail Marathon Wales

This is a great race I ran it last year and had a good run finished 4th :-)

I'm allso part of the organising team and one of the main course designers.

This year we are looking at a 10k option that will be ran on the Friday evening as part of a weekend oof trail running, however it is still to be confirmed but knowing Matt he'll pull it off :-)

We are now looking at a new section within the forestry with some wicked trails and we are keen to keep it all within the FC land and this will profide more singletrack. The ascent will be roughly the same around the 5000ft to 6000ft over the distance and will be run on a one lap format. It was a H & S issue last year that we were forced to change to a 2 loop and with it being our first year we didn't want to risk anything.

The Half marathon route will stand on last year's course as it was and still is one of the best routes ran last year.

Watch the space for more info
