I am sure you will gat the usual suspects from Radcliffe. Not me though as I am on "looking-after-the-kids-for-the-week-while-wife-on a-conference" duty

So you're unlikely to see Danbert then

Yep, after doing Winter Hill and Radcliffe 12 in the last 2 weekends, It will seem like a sprint! Will try to do 6.50ish miling and will be happy with that.

Nice fast finish after coming off the main road, 800m run in.

Good race Pinno, 27th year now I think or thereabouts.

Found it hard going, averaged 5:49 minute miles, when I normally average 5:45's, so slightly down, but first race for a month and only done a week of good quality training in the past month and ran with my cast on so happy enough.

Found that hill after the railway hard going.

    Were those mile marks right?

To me the first was over a mile and the 5th over 5 miles, meaning I did miles 4-5 in something like 6:30 and 5-6 in 5:20?

Anyway pleased enough, think I finished just in the top 25 or so.

5:49's in a cast? That is good going, you'll be doing sub 5's when it comes off

Well done Ian still very good going considering your arm is still in a cast. I had hoped to run it today but was still feeling it a bit from yesterdays Standish Race and being up in the night with our baby.

Yeah, not sure how much the cast affects me, they are so light nowadays I think the main thing is slightly awkward/restricted arm movement, but I've maintained the same training load (miles/ascent etc) while injured with the arm, just ouldn't do any sprint work until swinging it no longer hurt. Quite glad to have managed to get through it without losing too much/if any.

Hard thing is knowing when it's Ok to fell race again, mainly when it's strong enough to take a fall - being the RHS I instintively put that arm out. I'll probably do either Moelwnion or ras Yr Aran as my first race back.

Not sure about the markers, I did about 6.40 miling and my last was 5.49! It is a good down hill though. Having said that I recall the same happened last year.

Anyone measure the race with a garmin on ? I presume that you can click at the markers to check the accuracy.
At least the downpour passed just before the off, so conditions good.

Its wise to take care in what races you choose to do as even the slightest fall on the fells could put you back a fair while.
