What's this race like?
Nice race, well organised?
Sounds quite hilly?
Can you enter on the day or does it fill up?
Cheers

I did it a few times years ago, when I ran roads; only a few miles from home. Good scenic course round the lakes, long climb of a couple of miles (to 5 mile point) then a steep descent to pont ar elan, too steep to really gain anything (without knocking your legs to pieces). After that nothing too bad, a bit undulating but not desperate. But not a course for PB's.
As road races go, I guess it's as pleasant as you will get. Oh yes ...... the weather, unpredictable to say the least . One year I did it and the road was closed by snow untill an hour before the start.
Well organised, no idea how it fills up but I think it is popular as used for a London M warmup.
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.
Cheers, is there water stations on the route/any food etc?
Lovely course, well as nice as a 20 mile road run is. Great scenery, hard 1000ft climb then undulating.
Hat gut issues and a few cramps, thought I'd break 2:10, but did 2:11:20ish, so 6:30 ish miles which I was happy enough with, over a hilly course, over 2000ft of ascent.
Definatey recomend it, one I'll do again. Feel ragged though, far more than a 2hr fell run as it's just so continuous and unrelenting on the knees and quads.
