    Which Lakes Route???

Deciding which run to do this weekend when I'm up in the Lakes:

Fairfield Horseshoe OR Anniversary Waltz route.

I've walked Fairfield before but can't really imagine how hard it might be to run?

This is part of my challenge to run all the mountains in the Lakes in 08:
    Fairfield Horseshoe has 6
Anniversary Waltz has 4 (including a slight detour onto Hindscarth)

Can anybody advise me on the merits of each?

    Cheers

I've run the fairfield horseshoe before - the climbs on the way up are all runnable, albeit with a bit of puff.

With th forecast for this weekend I'd be inclined to stick with what you know and do Fairfield, it's not too bad if you nab scar first, the run off from Dove Crag to Ambleside is particularly enjoyable. I stick to the right hand side of the wall all the way down. However this will avoid the summits of High and Low Pike, so you may wish ti stick to the left. That said it is a nice run off.
