    Bath Half Marathon

Anyone running this on March 16th?

I know it is expensive but lots of friends and family are doing it so I am looking forward to it. Also it is flat and fast so I'll see how I am going and I am hoping 2 laps helps with this as I should be able to judge pace better. Hoping to get under 1:30 for the first time (why did I say that out loud?).

    Any other forumites be there?

Is it meant to be this hard?

Hi Jason - my home town half, Race Director a good mate, but shall be skiing in Alpe D'Huez instead - far more fun! Best of luck with the time - it is a fast course but can be a bit breezy at times - and setting off round a second lap can be hard! Always great support for the runners - inc. a salsa band to spur you on!

With the number of runners taking part it can get very crowded beforehand so make sure you get down to the Rec ground early and get into the race pens with plenty of time to spare -and say hi to any of the literally 100's of TeamBath AC runners taking part!

    Re: Bath Half Marathon

It was a fast course but poor organisation, with less than 30 minutes notice they delayed the start for an hour so everyone had to stand around in tents getting cold, tired and hungry.

The race was ok still and I just got under the 1:30 mark so was chuffed as it wasn't expected by then.

At the end people got half empty goody bags and tshirts were just being thrown out so that people finishing late had nothing left.

Not sure I would recommend this to anyone who has to pay, but ok for a good fast runner looking for a pb perhaps.

    Pleased personally though

I was surprised to read about the problems this year as it's normally a good event. Seems they have taken it on the chin though,
