im hoping i will be okay on the piste , anyone got any tips for a first timer apart from dont chat the sexy ski instructor up.

If some one tells you to 'Benz zee neez' ignore them Flex from the ankles. Don't forget to hold your tray of drinks in front of you (you'll understand this later ) and watch out for Snow boarders.

Learn how to stop properly before heading off to the top of the run and then taking out a queue of people and a fence panel at the bottom (Rawtenstall 1983 )

watch out for the 'snakes'
These kids will ski in a long line sliding down the slopes looking for unwary skiers to ensnare. Also they will always be better than you and show no fear. The other name for these snakes is ski schools.

It's a dry slope. No snow...

When you said you were going on the piste.... I thought you'd mistakenly put just put "te" instead of "sed".....
