    Question New Balance RX1441?

Has anyone any opinions on New Balance RX1441 shoes, other than they look a bit too flash for 'proper' fell running. Oh and they cost a lot. They've been out a while now, but I haven't noticed a lot of pairs around.
Not as fat as I used to be but still Cumbrian

Try picking one up...They're quite heavy. Great for Clydesdales, possibly...

Thumbs down New Balance, NEVER AGAIN

My last 2 pairs of N.B. studs (including a pair "Made in England") fell apart , so I will never buy another pair again.

    Regards,

    Max.

My wife has a pair and swears by them - "these are f***ing tight" see says.

But seriously, they seem to work well for her.

I used to use the blue ones a lot as a second/spare pair of shoes which at £35 a time seemed Ok, even if they did start to fall apart fairly quickly. Apparantly the stud problem was due to a faulty batch of rubber or something - anyway the last pair I had started shearing studs off from the first run but they swapped them for me in the local shop without any argument. I dont fancy the price of the new ones when you can choose from Inov8 or Walshes (or just about any others) for the same or less money - someone should have explained to new balance that the main advantage of the old shoes was price enabling you to save your better shoes for races!
