They hadn't got the wheels I wanted in stock, which was mostly why I didn't buy. One of my former training partners Tri shop has got some good deals on Scott's I noticed today, so I might wander down there tomorrow lunchtime.

was toying between the Hed Jets and the PX ones.....can't justify the stoopid amounts for Zipps etc so it was between these too really... that and for what i'm using them for I think it's a better bet to go for the 50/50 as oppose to 80/40 although they do look very nice!!

Apparently they'll be in in about 3-4 weeks (which nicely gives time for my cycle-to-work voucher to go through...)

Us bloody tax payers subsidising everyone else again!!

They should just reduce the VAT rate on bikes and have done with it. (I know there's more to cycle to work than just that.)

That would be quite cool: my work isn't VATable, so I can't claim the VAT back on the bike at the moment, only the tax...

    Re: planet x bikes

I worked out last week that it's 18 miles to our new place without using any major roads. That would be a decent commute in the summer, so I think I'll have to try and push Cycle to Work, although that will involve our finance department in Poland understanding it. They're struggling to get good staff in Poland.... (That's not a joke by the way!)
