The trouble with all this qualifying millarky is that it means less runners falling by the way side during the race. Its really good jumping over their bedraggled bodies, knowing that, no matter how bad you feel by that stage of the race, you could feel a darn sight worse! Ban asking qualifying race questions I say
I did the 3 peaks in 2004, having done it 3 times before, but previous time '98. when I sent my entry for the '04 race I was aware I hadn't done any qualifying events for the past 3 years but sent in results from previous 3 peaks runs and also some long distance walking/running events. To be fair, a guy from the orgainisers did ring me up to check up I was capable of running, and he said they did check up what people had put on the entry form.
Gutted I didn't get in this time though.
