Just seen that the garmin forerunner 405 has come out - I know that the 305 has been discussed on here - just wondered what people thought about the 405? Haven't compared specs yet are they the same but better??

just done a comparison on the garmin website - 405 is smaller and has wireless capabilities.

405 reduced battery life compared to 305
305 prices are quite low from the states on ebay
I love mine, great with memorymaps too

405 has a shorter battery life and the navigation capabilities (if it has any) can't be as good as it has a smaller screen. But it does look more like a watch if you don't want the nav facilities.
305 is about £130 if you look around (205 is less than £100 if you don't want HRM)
405 is about £260

So if you're hesitating between a 305 and a 205 and aren't bothered about a HRM, then you might as well get the 205? i.e. is the 305 just a 205 with a HRM?
the peugeot 205, 305 and 405 where all good models, not seen many about though for a while

As far as I know..... The only difference between the two is the HRM.

The cheapest place I found was www.gps4less.co.uk but they seem to have broken their website at the moment.
Amazon have 305 for £130, 205 for £105.
