Well done Mark I reckon that makes you a REAL FELLRUNNER
The older I get the Faster I was
Anybody know if results are up/going up anywhere? It seems the FRA results page is a bit behind at the moment.

Loved this race when I did it in 2014. Clag was down that day though so from just before the summit at Grisedale to the descent off Sail you couldn't see a thing. Look forward to doing this on a clear day.
Mark you have my sympathy with that fall. I dislocated my shoulder just after the final checkpoint at Langdale and had to trot down the last bit through the campsite with a club mate to shepherd me home. Bloody painful!!!
Perfect weather for this yesterday - thanks to the RO and the marshals.
Not entirely clear what was meant to happen on/around Sail - I was expecting a check point with marshals and a flagged descent to the left of those awful zig-zags - none of these that I could find. Most seemed to be contouring around to the left well before the top of Sail, but I went over the top - the amount of climb was trivial and it seemed shorter, and traversing on steep slopes is never much fun.
That confused me a bit too - I just followed everyone else there and went round the side but did wonder if that was right. This was the first proper Lakes race I've done for a few years; that combined with not being fully recovered from a recent bout of illness (which became painfully apparent halfway up Grisedale), meant I struggled badly, but still a great day out. Thanks to all the marshals and organisers.
