I wondered if any one was planning doing the above - 26/27th April?
I understand it stopped because of the f&mouth thing but is now back as new course over East Yorshire. I dont know the area and so looking for advise

I'm entered and looking forward to this event ,a different route from the last time but the maps haven't arrived yet so not plotted it out.
Planning on starting at 12 -anyone else at this time?
I'm doing this one. Going to walk it though as it's so close to the 100 & start at 8. Printed out maps last night - route looks fairly straight forward.
Had considered doing as in my back yard, maybe next year if I've got the endurance in. For those unfamiliar with area its not as flat as some think. Not seen route but with a clever route choice over wolds they could make this quite a challenge (as if 50m isn't challenge enough)
Agree it won't be flat. Going to measure the climb from memory map. The route goes along the bottom of valleys a lot of the time. But presumably we have to get between the valleys at some point! The last LDWA event I did in that area (Rudolph's Romp in December) was quite hard going - quite heavy clay type soil.
about 5000 ft of ascent according to memory map. hopefully dry underfoot and mainly good paths over the chalk wolds. should be a good adventure.
i'm there too but only walking it as still got buggerd knee. was over that way last week and was a bit soggy in parts but not too bad.
Change of plan. Looked at the opening times of the checkpoints (thanks Chris for alerting me to them). Going to start at 10. More civilised getting up time.
Chris - good to meet you. How did you get on?
I couldn't believe how beautiful the route was- the Wolds are just gorgeous. The only other one I've in that area was just not the same at all. So really pleasantly surprised. And the food and organisation really good. But as for me and my body. Well - I need a new word for cronky!!! Blisters and muscles seizing up all other the place. Finally scuffled into the finish in 14 and half hours (that's VFM!). Physically and mentally found it much harder than Rotherham.
pleased you enjoyed our wolds madeleine. certainly was a lovely day. toddled around in 17 and a half, had forgotten how many deserted villages there are up there, we seemed to go through the lot. well organised as ever, many thanks to all concerned.
