    10 mile Bluebell Trail Race

This is hosted my Stainland Lions (my club) and is a testing little event with a couple of memorable features.
    Any one fancy a go?

It was very well recieved by the fellrunner who ran it last year

Stagger, I presume you mean the 1in4 hill and the river crossing when you say memorable features?! I did this 3years ago and it's a great event - well worth supporting!

I get terrible deja vu on this race. Every year I meet the same runners at the same points. And every year some bugger halfway up Trooper Hill says "You're supposed to be a fellrunner, so why aren't you running?", and every year I fail to come up with an answer that's witty, audible, accurate and/or polite.

Tell them you are a "descending specialist" and you will make your time back later in the race.

I'll be there after doing the Ravenstones the day before, with my new fan club, the wife and bin lids

Big thanks to Mr & Mrs Stagger and the rest of the Stainland Lions for a bloody marvellous race, managed to run it all, even Trooper lane, legs not feeling too merry after Ravenstones yesterday, sure all that Strongbow last night helped. Managed a sprint across the river at the end, thought Stagger was going to soak me with his bucket and wife told me i'm not allowed to get wet or i'd be walking home Thanks again folks, legs have had enough now, face will need lots of feeding before tomorrow

Never saw the Staggers, though I was looking out. If you were at the river crossing, I was concentrating on not falling over.
Merrylegs overtook me on Trooper Lane, looking remarkably spry for someone who'd done Ravenstones the day before.
Sorry not to say goodbye at the end Merry, I turned round and you'd gone.
BTW, although running for three clubs, it's not because I'm disloyal, rather the reverse: I don't like leaving any club I've joined, so I collect more! I've been in Baildon 18 years and always run for them on the road. CVFR is my first claim fell club, but it's the Ponies for fun 'n' frolicks.
