    Anorak is my middle name.

If you want nauseating detail on anything I know nothing about please feel free to ask
Biriani for endurance, pathia for speed.

Only one fell shoe needs to be considered: The Walsh. All other shoes are just anvils!

Try Pete Bland's in Kendal--Walshes (the best!) mail order via "on-line" No I have no connection to Bland's, but I have known him for twenty years !

I will let you know shortly.
I have just purchased my first pair of Walsh's (PB Ultra Xtreme from the factory shop).
I have been training in RX Terrain and Montrail Highlander and racing in Mudclaw 330 so by next week I will have a fair assessment of the best shoe in my opinion.
The truth will be out. Ha Ha Ha

If the fit is good for you, you've got to consider Running Bear Glads. I find the grip sufficient & despite being very light they are virtually indestructible.
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.

A poor choice of Walsh in my opinion. If it ain't a PB Racer......

Glads get my vote too. A bit roomier than PB Racers but lace up nice and tight so there's no movement.

Just bought some wave harriers. WOndering whether they will stand up to extreme mud over 25 miles as I am doing the 2 crosses tomo. Last week my mudclaws rubbed and gave me blisters over 22 miles.

Guess I will find out how they fare. Bloody comfy these wave harriers. Like slippers.

So far I've tried on some Nike Swoops (comfy enough but felt baggy around my toes) Inov8 270s (didn't like em...they felt all wrong and lumpy inside unlike my Flyrocs which I really rate over the Downs), a pair of RX Terrains (all right but like the Swoops not the best fit round the toes) and a pair of Walsh Xtreme (really light and comfy in a very close fitting sort of way). I couldn't find anywhere that I could get to, that stocked Gladiators so I've had to rule them out for the time being.

I'm presuming that the last and fit of the Xtremes is the same as the PB Trainers and Racers (if they're different would someone let me know as soon as possible); so now it's down to finding the best deal on some PBTrainers or Racers on the interweb.

    Cheers - Raymond
