    Whaley Waltz

A brand new race organised by Goyt Valley Striders.

From Whaley Bridge on Carnival Day with a testing climb up to Windgather Rocks and a fast descent and river crossing near the finish.

That looks promising Al, but I'm probably carrying Mrs. Crumblie's jelly babies on her BG that weekend.

If not, I really fancy it.

    Cheers

    Re: Whaley Waltz

Daz, As I say the Whaley Waltz may have to wait for next year... that's if Mrs.C wants me to be a water carrier for her BG.

Did a recce of Leg 2 with them yesterday and it was bloody gorgeous, but a tough day out. The climb up Fairfeild from Grizedale Tarn was only beaten in severity by coming back down the bugger!!!

They were very patient though and didn't once mention that I was a clumsy bottle dropping fairy who should stick to watching the telly.

I plan to do all the Goyt Valley series, but likely to away for Shutlingsloe

I'll catch up with you one of these days!

lantern - I'm doing Fairfield Horseshoe on May 17th, so thanks for putting me off!

Goyt's Moss is 4 days after Fairfield, so not sure if I'll make that

What about Wincle Trout (May 31st) or Rainow 5 (June 4th) - might you make either of those?

Looks good, I might give it a go as long as there are some other slow 'runners' anyway

It's a new race but I had a run round on Monday (apart from the water splash at the end!)
Should be a good race, very runnable.
