Try the Chrome Hill race at Hollinsclough on 23rd June 4m/700'. One of the hidden gems of fell racing - goes up over a limestone reef. There's a school fete and a beer tent!

Great race! Thanks to all the organisers and marshalls.
Anyone any idea of when/ where results are to be found?
Cheers.
Photos here and probably results fairly soon I imagine.
Chrome hill is looking favourite then - weekdays are a push with living in shropshire - thanks
Is there any in July and August?
The Gun Run (see FRA on-line calendar - the printed version has errors in) is a nice event too. Held at the Swythamley and Heaton Centre (a village hall), with a burger for all runners (veggie burgers too). Bar afterwards and aconvivial atmosphere, not to mention a super run.
The results of the Trout Run will be on the Internet today, webmasters permitting.

There also masses of photos out there.
The official race photographer was Bryan Dale:

but we also had Chris Smith:

Many thanks to all runners who took part. Hope you all enjoyed it.
Thanks too to the many helpers without whom the race could not take place.
Thanks again Alan. Some great pictures!
I feel a bit sorry for the Buxton lad (287) who seems to have lost his shoe in the bog near the Trout Farm. Does he win the prize for being on the most photos? I see from the results he didn't finish.
Having just missed out on a top half finish last year I was really pleased to manage 35% of the way down this year.
The good news is he recovered his shoe later !!
