    Similar runs you say?

Well, in the next few months there's Shining Tor (July) and Whaley Waltz (June, www.fellraces.co.uk)

Then there's Tegg's Nose in August.

Windgather (October and a bit longer but lovely route - www.fellraces.co.uk)

And if a mud-fest is up your street, the Roaches beckons in November, but is a good bit tougher than the rest...

And in November, the Langley 7; a fell race on tarmac!

I am sure there are more, but these I am familiar with...

Macc harriers have a friendly fell run every Wednesday evening somewhere in the area... have a look at the site (www.macclesfield-harriers.co.uk) and follow the calender tab. You'll find the Forest 5 in July there as well.

    Enjoy

Good list of Derbyshire/Cheshire races here. Alternatively, join the FRA and get a list of everything.

There's also a new Fell Run (2nd year) from Langley Fete, on Sunday 27th June at 2.30pm. It's just under 3 miles up and down Tegg's Nose Country Park - 650' of climb. More info 01260 253692 or see Macclesfield Harriers' website.

    Wincle Trout Run

Thanks to Alan and all the marhsalls and helpers for putting on this great run at the fete.
I also liked the Wincle Brewery beer tent!

Not long to this one now - really looking forward to it! Weather is looking a bit dismal like last year's race!

Are there likely to be places on the day, or have I missed the boat?

Shall be going to the fete with the family anyway...

It normally sells out well in advance LR. Try looking at their website

    http://www.wincle.org.uk/events_fete_13.html

Will be missing it for the first time in a few years. Being made to work on a Saturday is just plain wrong!
