    Mobile phones

Right well when i go running i like to take my phone (my mum wants me to take my phone because she's paranoid "anything could happen to me").

Has anyone got any tips on carrying phones because ive tried running with my phone in my shorts pocket but lets just say it cracks me where it hurts- ALOT!.

In the winter I wear 3/4 tights a bit like these. They have a zip pocket at the back which is the perfect size for a mobile. In the summer I either don't take the phone or use a tiny bumbag.

I always carry a small bumbag when in the hills regardless of weather but if running a trail I use a running top similar to a cycle top with a small zip pocket on the lower back.

I shove it in my briefcase , it fits in nicely . Bit heavy for running with but i feel it makes me unique.

Carry a £1 coin and hope there's a handy (non-vandalised) telephone box, should you need help

Carry a £20 note- much lighter and can sort out a taxi and a couple of pints!

Assuming we are talking about off-road running (this is a fell running forum), if I can make it to a phone box, taxi or pub, I can probably make it home!
