We are completely overrun with figs this year. Usually have a bit of a glut (which we freeze) but have so many we are running out of ideas.

Toad in the hole, runner beans from the garden, a few frozen peas that needed using up and gravy

I ran 12.5 miles earlier and I’m still hungry

Just finished one of my favourite lunches of 2 boiled eggs and soldiers, couple of sticks of celery and chunk of mature cheddar.

    Yum Yum.

Rabbit Pie with a thin but very tasty suet pastry and accompanying veg. All washed down with a couple of pints of Abbeydale's Moonshine.

Last night was roast goose, a left over one from last Christmas and there's still another in our freezer. Plus 8 more running about the field for this Christmas - but nobody having Christmas this year.
Anyway, it was a cracking bird with all the trimmings and still cold meat for today.
Slightly spoilt because we walked down the pub for a last drink before they close till spring, that was 4 pints and I staggered home, then the bottle of wine and no meal is complete without some malt whiskey. Not at my best this morning
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

Cold goose, bubble and squeak, beetroot and home made pickles. Face covered in goose fat from chewing the carcass. Not for the squemish.
