    Made the most of a wet day by making some jam. 10lb of Raspberry from my allotment and 12lb of Plum from a neighbours garden. Just need to make some scones now!

    Oooh, I am super envious of your raspberry haul, my favourite fruit! I also really like the idea that ethyl formate, the predominant chemical that gives raspberries their flavour, is one of the most abundant chemicals at the centre of the Milky Way

    My conserve making this year was proper Seville orange marmalade back in February - still working my way through all the remaining jars despite having given quite a few away - utterly scrumptious!

    Runner Beans my favourite veg by miles. Best with salty bacon, new potatoes and a massive knob of butter. MMMMMmmmmm

    The runner beans have done rather well in my garden, for the first time. So they have shaded out the other stuff that I planted too near them because I knew that I wasn't going to get many bean plants coming up.
