Slowly going through 'One more kilometre and we're in the showers' (Cycling) seems good so far, anyone rate it?

Running Through The Wall: Personal encounters with the Ultramarathon ...same type of events that Dean Karnazes does but the book is a compilation of about 40 short stories/essays by different authors - some who are top runners & some who are not.......Includes a good tale of one hundred mile mountain ultra (The Barlklay) which until recently had only had one finisher & cos he finished they made it harder!
the flying scotsman - graeme obree, mostly relentlessly downbeat and tragic but at times really inspiring and uplifting! great book.
Now don't exaggerate!
However, purely by coincidence, the next Fellrunner does just happen to include a Profile of Sarah:
Laugh And Be Happy: A Profile of Sarah Rowell
and it does just happen to contain a short section, of the 3930 words, entitled:
Woefully Underrated?
Betcha you can't wait...?

I've got into the cycling books recently, read 'Put me back on my bike' the Tommy Simpson book, 'It's not all about the bike' Lance Arsmtrong's battle with cancer, and 'The Death of Marco Pantani', 3 very different books. The Pantani book must be one of the best researched books on the market, incredible.
I also read 'The last Tommy' as I was working at sea and it was all I could find, interesting story about the last surviving Tommy from WW1.
UMM was OK, very readable, just a bit 'I'm a machine' type guff. Paula Radcliffe's autobiog was very good too.
If you are into football there's a few good biogs about, mainly by coaches who have something intelligent to say; Jack Charlton, Bobby Robson and Eric Harrison (youth coach at Utd who brought through the Fergie Fledglings) were probably the best.
found cloughy's book a really good read, very intresting.
