I kind of take your point on my slip up. But Ramsay is a rather rude chef as well as a pioneering adventurer. To be precise.

The November dates look good. Let me know if its a go.

    Cheers Alan.

I have November date pencilled in. Barring coughs, colds, flu, injuries or mega hangover, I would like to tag along if it's a goer.

Ah can't do that weekend, petty. Mates are all coming over for the weekend and can't rearrange as there's too much on the other weekends around then. Have a good one. Was thinking of walking a section over a few days maybe later in November.

Looks like Nov 1-2 should work for me. Will know for definite on Monday.

I see ydt has posted MR details: http://img60.imageshack.us/my.php?im...ionnydduf6.jpg And I notice 9 May would be 11 years after his, to the day.

I'd be there for the 2 days, and propose Rhinogs (Rhinog Fach onwards - this section needs a slowish careful check) and Arenig sections.

Sounds good, I recced that Rhinog section in May. Loved it, but certainly needs a good looking at and a couple of route choices I think I could have improved on.

Yep I'm up for it. Arenig Sat and Rhinog Sun? or could switch. Meet 9 a.m.?

For Rhinog, meet at A470 layby SH 698384, leave car(s) and drive to start at SH 685302.

For Arenig, meet at Pont Fronwydd SH 832246, leave car(s) and drive to start at SH 820393.

There is currently space at Fynnon Wen YH for Sat night.

I'll email the usual suspects: PM me with your e.address if interested and if I don't already have it. No timewasters, tricks or treats .

    Meirionnydd recce Sun 2 Nov

My post-OMM hamstring problem seems to have settled down, but I think common sense had better prevail so I will do Sunday only. Weather forecast cold and dry. Just three of us attending unless there are any other takers.

I am particularly interested in the route up Rhinog Fawr and onward to Roman Steps, as there is considerable scope for timewasting/saving along that section. There are also one or two stretches further north where I have tended to waste a minute or two, so it would be good to get some of these nailed. Sunday 2 Nov, Meeting at A470 layby SH 698384 at 09:30

I'll post some dates for early 2009, in due course.

All being well, my attempt will be Sat 9 May, with 16th as a bad weather backup. Any further offers of support welcome .
