    Meanwood Valley Trail 17 May

Not running this myself this year (done it 5 times previously) though may well get along to watch in Meanwood Park itself or halfway up the hill to the Myrtle - have spotted 'Behind You' and her other half in the entry list, any other forumites running?

I'll be coming last again for the Ponies! Daleside said she may enter if she gets back from her Lakeland wanderings in time - last report in the vicinity of Black Sail Hut I believe. Actually the beer will be an incentive...

that sounds a bit suspicious socks! do you reckon it will be a case of - 'oops I've stuck the label on that one upside down - I'd better drink that one'! 'oh bother - now I've messed this one up - I'd better drink it too!' 'Hic!'

I will be hanging around the playground in the park at this one.

Marshalling you understand! Be near/at 4 miles drink station.

Socks, it was me who shouted hi when zooming past on the bike by the way.

Pretty flat - there are ups and downs, with a little steepish bit near the end, but no serious 'big hills' as we know them.
Apart from a loop or two the route basically follows the beck (Adel) towards the city centre, using an underpass/tunnel to get across the ring road. There's a good moment when you burst out of woodland into the middle of an urban park, before turning back.
As far as I can recall, the race goes from a rugby club up King Lane (north of the ring road). Best to check the website though; it might have changed. It's a number of years since I did this race.
