Proper spring day here but it is now approaching 30 degrees C in the conservatory and I've had to open the vents to stop the plants and dog expiring. Poor chap doesnt know what's hit him - it was in low single figures for his walk early this morning.

I do hope we don't get another beast from the east in March.

Cut the grass again, just sat out admiring the lawn and spring flowers.

Lets hope we don't get a sharp frost, Trev.

From bitter experience, a couple of decades ago now, I never touch mine until the clocks go to BST; only another 4 or 5 weeks, but like to play it safe. Rhubarb tips are starting to show; don't force mine, au naturelle.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Tete-a-tete daffodils up here. Owls hooting - presumably looking for a mate.

First primroses and woodpeckers hammering away on this morning's run. Just shorts and a t-shirt for the first time in a long time.

Crowded at the top of Beacon Hill, as usual on a sunny Sunday afternoon in May. Now can someone help me with my computer, the calendar seems to be three months behind.

Throughout these last few days of glorious weather I felt that there was something not quite right and I could not put my finger on it. However this evening the penny dropped. It is the lack of shade. Usually in such warm weather the trees will have a few leaves on.
Visibility good except in Hill Fog

I have just got back from the south-west of Ireland, could not believe how far advanced the spring, is there with the daffodils, etc, compared to Manchester. Suppose that SW corner is generally milder than "up north".

Warm last night training. Wore t-shirt and shorts, and was wishing i'd worn a vest after a couple of reps.
