Any body any recommendations on any preferred makes of bum bag? Something light? I know they're a requirement to enter some races. Thanks.

Pete Bland's PB bumbag is definitely the lightest and best for races. Nothing fancy, but plenty of room for all you need to take.
I don't think bum bags are compulsory kit in races, it is what you put in them which is compulsory!
Ive just bought a great little bum bag/gel belt from high5,I would put the link up on here if I knew how!
Hills and Guinness!
That would be it ....yes How do you do it?

NMNC - Pete Bland does not appear to list his own bumbag anymore - just the 'mass produced' stuff..OMM, Inov8, Lowe Alpine, Hilly etc. I'm still using my Rock n' Run with side tensioning straps, that I bought back in '84.
It's rather sad that some of the good old standby's have disappeared - Rock n' Run Ridge Runner & PB LiteSac rucsacs amongst them
I think there were some PB bumbags in one of the boxes outside the van last weekend, £10 if I remember right.
I've still got my original green Rock n Run bag although not used much now as the zip bust a couple of years ago. Don't know why I have kept it though ~ for old times sake I suppose.
I now use one of the new OMM ones. The side pockets are great for gels and jellies, compass & whistle, while the main compartment just about fits everything else in.
