I have today first red squirrel photo off one of my trail cameras, only 1/2 mile from centre of village and our house. Result at last

    Great stuff Moley

Very quiet around here but we did hear a singing dipper on the river yesterday plus there’s reports of early pinkies over in Calderdale area

Got a resident sparrowhawk who must keep his eye on the back garden, and on an almost daily occurrence, stops by and picks off an unfortunate sparrow for a snack...

Great stuff. We keep thinking about setting up wildlife cameras. I think we'd just get hundred of pheasants round here.

This morning whilst stood at a neighbours door a gang of Long-tailed Tits landed on a bird feeder, containing a number of fat balls, only an arms length away. I kept still and watched and listened to them for around five minutes. I counted eight of them at any one time but there were more, coming and going very quickly from a bush about 8 feet away. A wonderful sight.
This evening, on my way home from Matlock, a big fat healthy looking Hedgehog scurried across the A6 in front of me.
