    Don't know the outcome.
    Hopefully it goosed the grey!
I squeaked up a Red kite today whilst working in a garden on the edge of moorland high above Appletreewick - it drifted over us wondering where the squeals were coming from - and soon realised it was just a bald, old git not worth wasting its energy on.

I might have to trawl back on here but suspect five weeks might be nearer the truth Geoff for me too

Heard (but not seen) many woodpeckers on Rasaay... was looking up and expecting to see something resembling Woody Woodpecker, but a quick research tells me I was being somewhat too hopeful...

On the way towards the south coast I saw a magnificent family of deer, with a huge stag leading the way... they ran off, straight across the ridge-line, with the Red Cuillin silhouetted in the background.., it would have been a once in a lifetime photo, but couldn't get the phone out quick enough, and they were gone...

Skylark singing on the moors between shutlingsloe and Macc Forest, and three red deer on the bridleway in front of me in Macc Forest. Normally they run away quite quickly, but today they were in two minds which way to go, so I got within about 30 metres of them.
