Is this 'wildlife encounter' thing supposed to be stuff seen when tha's out on a run?...coz if it is then I don't qualify as t'runnin's tekken a back seat for a week or two.

Mind you...I could lie 'n pretend I was out runnin wi' mi camcorder!

filmed 4 playful fox cubs last evening...then t'vixen turned up wi' a rabbit she'd caught. They were totally unaware that I was there.

Daren't say where the den is for fear o' someone killin 'em...suffice to say it was somewhere up t'Dales. Got totally midged-off after 10 mins...evil little bugga's

wonderful run with no people in sight.
lapwings, snipe, curlew, grouse(featherd kind), hare.

Also found two snares, one occupied by a stoat?

did yer leave the snare in place? Even though "free-runnin" snares are still legal I think it's an 'ellish asty control method...mind you all them upland ground-nestin birds you saw will stand a much better chance of raisin there yung'uns wi'out stoats 'n weasels 'n charlie fox predatin 'em.
Surprised there was a stoat in it...snares are normally set fo' rabbits 'n foxes.

That was a public information message.

like I said I don't want to give away the location...the footage I got would show too much detail of the site...there's too many lampers out there oo'll seek 'em out if they get an inkling of where the den is.
I'll 'ave anutha session nxt week (assumin some bugga 'ant gone 'n dolled 'em inbetween time) then 'll ask Grifter if 'e can put a clip ont'web. Is that ok Dom?

Must remember to tek mi Avon SSS nxt time.

Trap was too small for a fox and given location it wasn't for a rabbitt or hare.

Don't know for certain hence the ? it was semi decomposed but about 25cms long grey brown fur thin with long tail Stoat/Weasel/sharp pointy teeth! ?

The traps were set out side a purpose built hole(nest) with an egg in side. I've got the GRef and picture on another unoccupied snare found same day, we set it off and then buried both snare and hole.
