    Cautley Crags Race

    Thursday 19th June - 7.30pm
Probably not the best kept secret in fell running, but we're not doing bad!
Free to enter evening race following the natural horseshoe around the fells and crags of Cautley Spout waterfall in the Howgill Fells (M6 junction 37 only 20 mins).
Intended as a team challenge (5 to count) this race was first held in 2007, with a grand total of 7 runners taking part. The objective of the 2008 race will be to attract more than 7 runners and have a proper team challenge, so get your teams organised and join us for a "classic" evening fell race.
Prizes (cans of beer) sponsored by Helm Hill Runners.

    What you doing this Thursday?
Ok with only 55 hits to my race notice it probably is the best kept secret in fell running.
Offer owt for nowt and silence prevails (free entry & beer!).
Whilst my target is more than 7 entries and I have to climb the fells before the race to plant a couple of marker flags, I will get to keep any surplus prizes, so thats OK
Oh I must remember to ask Harry Howgill for some race numbers and a clock.

This race is over a cracking course and ideal to use as a mid-week training run. You wouldn't get free beer on your normal training run would you?

    Well worth a visit.

    Superb race, thanks Cloud Runner.
The route and weather combined to pack plenty into the hour.

    Cheers
