I know how you feel. I used to miss sets of days when I was at high school. At it's worst I was off for three days once.....not good. Somehow never managed to miss more than one day off work though!

Try an antihistamine - it will be effective for all the symptoms - eyes, nose, throat, chest. Cetirizine is available over the counter and is now cheaper than it was and it doesn't make you drowsy. another plus is that it works quickly (within an hour or 2) and lasts a full 24 hours. Just take it on days when symptoms are bad.

And why do you want to crawl through freshly cut grass? That FellMonster's not leading you astray (again)? Woof

For the first time in my life, I have taken some hayfever medication.

From my teens to my thirties, I got hayfever every Summer, but never severely enough for me to want to take any medication. Since then, I have only been getting it rarely, when pollen levels have been really high. But in the last week or two, I have been getting really severe symptoms on some days; right now, my eyes feel dreadful. So I went down to the pharmacy and got some Cetirizine.
