I did find and others have said same , that the flyroc uppers are not that hardwearing, the mesh front developed a hole which may have been my doing but then i was approached at a fell race by a fellow runner who said his had done exactly the same. My Mudclaws did it and Innov8 replaced , no probs.
Hello Alf - mine have just split the mesh near the little toe on my right foot, this is after 6 months of using them a couple of times a week. How long had you had yours before they went? I really like them for running on the downs and if I could get them replaced that would be a weight of my wallet. (Is there a tight fisted smiley?)

    Cheers - Raymond

Daz, are you sure those Flyrocs fit you right? your foot shouldnt be moving around in them. Anyway I think the Flyroc are more trail shoes, I've had some and didn't like them but I love the 290s and when its really muddy the 330s which have by far the best grip of anything I have ever worn, including Walshes.

    I've raced in mine!

I don't care what anyone says - I think they're a smashing shoe and I'm very happy with them.

perhaps i could get away with a half size less maybe but i just think they felt clumsy like.
i have a pair of 330s and im surprised you rate them for grip over walshs
mind you im a very neutral runner
makes me wonder about people wearing away the mesh and stuff.
walsh when there new i think are the best for grip
have found the mudclaws also clumsy but having said that i havnt tried the 290s yet .
