Daz the 330s are the mudclaw sole on a more robust upper, the grip is like tractor tyres, the only shoe I feel able to really let myself go downhill when its wet....but then I am a wuss ;-)

And I was confusing flyrocs with mudclaw.

Flyrocs (blue) kill my ankle bone (digging in), and my heel bone (blister), and the uppers are going - never again.

It was the (red/silver) Mudclaws I wore at Stanbury - gripped like a great grippy thing.

Or maybe I have no idea what they are called, but I do know what colour they are.

david made a good point on the old forum
u have to take into consideration shoes when they are wet in a race
flyrocks weigh loads more when wet unlike walshs

I was an Inov 8 man to start with,
    BUT
The 270 mudclaws had great grip but uppers split.
330 mudclaws are tougher but rub my heel once I get to double figure miles
    SO
I tried a pair of Walsh's and wish I had gone there sooner

    I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT

What do you reckon to grip, Mudclaw vs Walshes Stagger?

I think it's time Gladiators got a mention in this thread. Very light and responsive similar to PB Racers. I think they grip better in the mud than PBs but are not as good on wet rock. You should try a pair next Daz.

Mudclaws in a stream or wet rock are best.

Walsh's in the mud and steep descents they don't clog with mud.

Walsh's have the edge on the whole in my opinion for the type of terrain I run on.

Very similar but not identical. The Glad studs are a little bigger so grip slightly better. I think the rubber is a bit harder so they last a bit longer but aren't quite as good on wet rock.
