Whilst freezing the other day , i contemplated shoving bits of wool down my shorts, i was then told that people have used these shards of wool in their socks to help prevent blisters. Has anyone tried using the wool found moors in any capacity?

Generally going nowhere fast.
I'd be worried about getting flea's
A.T. - You really need to get Joss going on this subject. You very rarely bump into him around Wasdale without he has his boots or fell shoes lined with Herdwick wool.
aha . if it's good enough for joss then it's good enough for me. The explanation given to me was that the lanolin is a natural lubricant. I know that sheep shearers end up with very soft hands after a season shearing.
I am going to relish stuffing wool in my socks and shorts , probably i may relish it rather too much!!!
